The Forum commenced with a one day meeting of stakeholders from government, industry and the community on Tuesday 24 April 2007.

Members of the general public were welcomed to participate in the following events:

Day 1: Forum Report Back and Plenary Session

Day 1: Community Session

The Community Session was held on the evening of Day 1 of the forum. The aim of the session was to provide an opportunity for other members of the community to provide input into the action plan for the future of Darwin’s CBD. The Session was facilitated by specialist community engagement firm Elton Consulting.

We sent an invitation to participate in the Community Session to approximately 1,000 households in the Darwin area, in order to involve people from a range of backgrounds, age groups and localities in the session. We also be contacted a number of local organisations, community groups and businesses located in and around the Darwin CBD.

Community Information & Feedback Sessions were held on Days 2 & 3 of the forum, as follows:

Friday 27 April
Between 11 am and 2 pm
Raintree Park, Darwin City


 

Saturday 28 April
Between 9am and 3pm
Casuarina Shopping Centre

Please note, all feedback received by Friday 11 May 2007 will be analysed by Elton Consulting in preparation of the Forum Outcomes Report.
Any feedback received after that date will be provided to the Department of Planning and Infrastructure.
